6 cloves garlic
⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Fresh flat-leaf parsley
Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

Step 2

Thinly slice garlic and gently cook in olive oil over low heat until golden, about 3 minutes.

Step 3

Add red pepper flakes and remove from heat. Toss in drained pasta and pasta water.

Step 4

Add fresh parsley, toss to coat, and serve with Parmesan.
