Why MyMenu is a good Mealime alternative
The whole week is generated for you
With Mealime you built your plan from its recipe catalogue. With MyMenu, you enter the number of people, allergies, diet, budget and tastes once, and AI generates a complete weekly menu.
A grocery list built automatically
Ingredients from the menu are gathered into one grocery list, grouped by aisle, that you can check off while you shop, even offline.
Not tied to a grocery chain
Meals Hub lives inside Albertsons Companies store apps. MyMenu is an independent app: you take the list to whichever store you like. (It does not order groceries for you.)
Free to start
MyMenu is free to download and your first menus are free. The optional MyMenu Pro subscription ($3.99/month or $24.99/year on the US App Store, checked 2026-10-19) unlocks unlimited menus, advanced filters and real-time sharing of the grocery list with your family.
What MyMenu doesn't do
- MyMenu is on iPhone and iPad only: there is no Android app and no web version.
- MyMenu cannot import recipes, so it cannot bring your Mealime favourites across. It generates new menus instead.
- MyMenu is not a calorie tracker.
- If you mainly want Mealime's own recipes back, Meals Hub is where Mealime says they continue.
How to move your recipes and meal plans
1. Gather what you still have
Mealime's notice describes no export, and Mealime said all personal data would be deleted at shutdown, so start from what you kept: screenshots, printed grocery lists, notes. Recipes you had saved from a food blog are still on the original site. Mealime's own recipe pages on mealime.com/recipes were still online when we checked on October 26, 2026, and Mealime says all its recipes continue in Meals Hub.
2. Write down your household settings
List the number of people, allergies, diet, dislikes and budget you used in Mealime. Those are exactly the preferences you enter once in the app.
3. Generate your first week in MyMenu
Install the app, enter those preferences and let AI generate the week. The grocery list is built from the menu, grouped by aisle.
4. Keep your favourite recipes somewhere safe
MyMenu cannot import your own recipes, so keep the handful you cook most in a note or a document you control, so they never depend on one app again.
